Technology to do for water turbines what the jet engine did for aviation

Green-Tide’s turbines use natural water movement to  generate electrical energy from river currents and tide streams.

Green-Tide Turbines Ltd pursues R&D activities in the UK, addressing two different markets;
run-of-river and tidal stream.

Run-of-river turbines

amazon-river

Our run-of-river turbines are approx 1m in diameter and generate 2-4kW.

The primary market is remote communities in the Developing World where the cost of extending energy infrastructure or supplying fuel to these areas is uneconomic.

We have received a lot of interest and support from the UN and Brazil’s energy providers. Read more about this opportunity...

Tidal stream turbines

Tidal stream turbines

Our tidal stream turbines are approx 15m in diameter and generate 2-4MW.

A global market, but we are initially focused on the UK and other First World countries where the emphasis is on decarbonising the existing energy delivery system.

Our technology is optimises power per acre of seabed and has significant potential for reductions in operating and maintenance costs of competing systems. Learn more...
